Rachel Bilson @ the CW, CBS & Showtime Party

She's so cute and tiny! It's like Mum just dropped her off to meet up with Elle Fanning and Chloe Moretz.

From the sleek side-part to the unpainted nails, this look is head to toe cleeean. Girls in pants are like the wofting smell of a delicious dinner being cooked and girls in pants with pointed heels are like sinking your teeth into that delicious dinner.

Also attending the event were Superman's girlfriend and that guy from Go Girls. DamnHollywood has been good to him! But this has got to be the oddest pairing and most awkwardly posed couple photo ever! What are they doing together?!

Pyjama Chic

Last night I discovered you can wear a women's pyjama shirt out and receive more compliments in one night than you've had in your entire lifetime. And what's better, I got to go straight home and coma in it and not feel dirty in the morning. Boom!

That's what I call pyjama chic and it just goes to prove my point that anything can be cool if you make it work!

No more music, Christina!

Apparently a new single is on it's way! Is that what's been growing in there for the last 9 months? Are we all excited?!

No. You know you're a failure when you enlist the help of MIA and Nicki Minaj for your album and it still flops. When I next see that genie in a bottle baby, I'm going to wish for Christina Aguilera's retirement.

Psy "Gangnam Style" Video

Sorry Ben but I've fallen in love with another man! He's the RedFoo of Korea and goes by the name of Psy. I was watching U Live yesterday, as you do, and fell in love with this song and the video! Whether it's the simplest of dance moves or even the sluttiest, I swear Asians can do anything and make it look cute.

Is that you Gwen Stefani?

No, it's Wynter Gordon. Easy mistake though, right? Especially now that No Doubt have reformed and are beginning to release new music!

Wynter's EP "Human Condition: Doleo" is free to listen to online here and not to worry, the Gwen voice doesn't make any further appearances on the track list.

Nike Cortez making a comeback?

The oh so popular brogue got a complete makeover when Prada (right) released their platform version and now it seems the shoe that may have inspired the jagged rubber sole could be making it's way back into the spotlight.

I was twelve when I bought my first and last pair of Nike Cortez so I suppose they could be considered old enough to be vintage and cool? Paired with some cute socks I am surprisingly seeing them in a new light, but not on girls! You can stick to your red Chucks and red Vans thank you! But whatever you do - stay away from the Nike Frees! Are we at indoor netball trials?

Shhoo Goood at Shaky Isles

You know when you walk into a place and you're not sure whether to order at the counter or seat yourself and wait to be served? My friend and I experienced a little bit of that upon our arrival. About as awkward as almost walking into someone and both of you move the same way.

The one time I decide to have a day off from the typical mocha, out comes Andrea's with a Whitaker's sante bar bathing in it! You get five stars for that, Shaky Isles! The kumara and potato hash browns were close to perfect - just needed more hollandaise. Andrea's "Good Stuff In A Sandwich" sandwich teased me. It was gigantic and looked delicious for only $12.50. Oh yeah and we got a free Phoenix drink each for mentioning "Shaky July"!

All up it was a pleasant visit and because it's so close to me it would be a crime not to return. Sun and a sante-bar'd mocha. Yers plers!

Seek Best Dressed Wednesday: Erin

This week Erin took out the #1 spot for Seek's Best Dressed Wednesday. She was a bit reluctant to having her picture taken at first but then came around as the cheeky marshmallows crept into her view. Only kidding. I loved the oversized coat and I'm always on the hunt for people who fuse elements of casual and formal dress.

Below are runners-up Ashley (so cute - the peplum is slowly befriending me), Irina (love me a good turtle-neck!), Obait (love the blazer!) and Renee (a nice orgy of fabrics!)

Kunt.fm

I guess that getting eaten.

Your station for all things Azealia. Heaven.

My book design "Don't Hold Back"

I don't think I use this blog enough as a means of displaying my own work so here goes! This is a wee graphic design booklet I made over a period of four days for a uni assignment. I got an A for it which I think in large part is thanks to the professional printing and binding from Forge Media in Ponsonby.

Although it's about overcoming restrictions in life, my main focus was not on making this message clear but creating a series of stimulating unusual collages. Can you tell I really like green?

Blank Magazine "Let's Play"

Brad Alphonso and Jodi Smith are photographed by Gomillion and Leupold and styled by Lisa Bae. How delicious does her skin look against his St. Tropez tan?

Three things you can take away from this for the upcoming summer season: neon doesn't discriminate, bulge and butt looks best in trunks and accessorise to complete (hair, sunnies, nails).

Azealia Banks "Fantasea" Mixtape

Before you roll your eyes, yes I post about Azealia a lot, but I'm seriously all about this girl and this mixtape is revolutionary! It's a 19 track release of witchy, dance, rap goodness. She's impacting the hip hop scene in the same way that Kanye West did when he first debuted. By stepping shit up. It's impossible to say no when it's free to download from here.

"Esta Noche"... You recognise the beat, jammin in your seat, drink in hand, then BOOM time to hit the dance floor!

"Fierce" is creepy and queen. Werk!

Jay Gardner arrives in Aoetaroa

Why send Geordie Shore's most boring cast member our way? And he's expecting to party it up in Auckland, tonight, a Monday (and it gets worse) with four of the GC crew? Oh, what a night! Even the weekends are barely popping these days. And what weather. He must feel at home though.

In other news The GC might get renewed for a second season. Didn't we all stop watching after the second episode?

Two bags I need in my life

Two of the most embarrassing bags made mega duper cool. The fanny pack (by American Apparel) and the lunch bag (by Jil Sander).

The fanny pack gets me more excited about travel and being a tourist than the actual locations do. Do you know what I can't stand though and there was a period of time at school when guys would actually do this; wear fanny packs as satchel bags? Cringe.

Unfortunately, the lunch bag costs a years worth of my lunch money so by the time I'd get it I wouldn't have anything to fill it with. A bag always has to be at least half full to look good, even if it means just chucking in another sweatshirt.

Asian Supermarkets

My first time shopping at one today and the low prices are killer!

But why do the checkout ladies not talk? Is this a thing in China? She didn't even vocalise the total cost. She turned the screen to face me. I felt like I was Gretchen Weiners with Regina George; the meaner she was to me, the more I tried to suck up to her.

It's actually made me think twice about returning. At least for four times the price at Countdown I get a "Thanks for shopping at Countdown!".

Cafe Byzantium

Unless you like you're scrambled eggs watery and flavourless, served up with a frown... don't eat here! There are so many better options along Ponsonby Road, so when you see this cafe just keep on walking by[zantium].

Someone must've hated them more than me and hacked their official website. Kind of embarrassing.

Wonder Girls "Like Money" Video

Can you call this K-Pop when they're a South Korean group signed to Sony Japan featuring Akon? If you ask me it's 부. 무작위로, 우연히! Yes, random.

Sure Akon would sell his soul for a dollar but this is the weirdest collaboration he's done yet. There's just something not right about a 39 year old ex con rapper singing alongside five young Koreans, the youngest of which is 19.

SixLee

Pastel colours epitomise feminine beauty to me and it seems the lighter they get the softer the looks become. They balance the sharp lines and abrupt crops of the jackets. I love the pop of life the sunglasses give to each look.

The Beckhams @ Simon Fuller's Birthday

Must Victoria always wear dresses from her own line? I'm sick of this silhouette. She's worn the look to death. It's not that she doesn't look great but she needs to keep up with David. Literally.

Timbaland "Hands In The Air" Video

Apparently Timbaland is not dead. And neither is the Step Up movie series. The track featuring Ne-Yo is from the forthcoming fourth installation "Step Up Revolution". Needless to say it's a lot of blue lighting and slow-mo dancing in the club; and Timbaland being singled out by a hot girl which would never happen in real life. It's like when I watch T-Pain or Sean Kingston or any other rapper gettin' cosy with a girl, I'm just like no...

Not a bad song, for now.

Forget men in heels!

What do you think of men in corsets?

Couture corsets designer Maison Moginot is photographed by Armin Morbach in the latest issue of Horst magazine.

Personally, I am all for it! It's not cross-dressing if there's a balance of femininity and masculinity. The girly lace details are neutralised by the fact he's wearing a Nike tee. 1 all. So you want to argue that it's cropped, okay, well he also has a moustache. 2 all. Short shorts balanced by the hairy legs. 3 all. No winner - there is no line between menswear and womenswear.

Let's make it happen boys!

Keeping Up With Mason Disick

Naww, him with his pastel colours and stripes and lobsters! If this wee fella had his own spin off it  would make me so happy. It'd be the only series from the franchise that doesn't require me to endure a thousand lashings after watching an episode.

Look! He's rubbed his butter all over his face... he wants to be like Aunty Koko. (Khloe for all of you who are sane and don't keep up!)

Santigold "The Keepers" Video

Green jelly with ham and broccoli anybody? Are you sure?

I hear this is in response to a racial storyline in the latest season of Mad Men but I couldn't tell you if it was (as E! News says) so true? so false? because I'm not a fan of the show. And season five is way too late to begin. I think it's Sanitgold's critique of a society who are oblivious to what is going on outside their prim and perfect lives.

The video follows a suburban family tucking into a poisonous meal and even as the house goes under fire, they quickly fix themselves and continue on with dinner.

Watching her dance around like a crazy woman who's just found five bucks on the street makes me want to dance around like a crazy woman who's just found five bucks on the street! And this is the right song to do it to.

Kazaky in V Magazine

Kazaky... who? They're more than just a music group, in fact they can bearly sing, but they are great dancers and fashion icons. They've been styled by Nicola Formichetti and photographed by Inez & Vinoodh for the latest issue of V Magazine.

I don't dig men in stilettos; I think it's been overdone. But for anyone that knows my style of graphic design, I do love myself some collage.

Here's one of their music videos for the single "Dance and Change".

Seek Best Dressed Wednesday

Asam works in property and was selected as this weeks Best Dressed winner on the Seek Insider. Being a chocolate lover, I was drawn into the purple tie but unlike Cadbury, Asam was much more of a treat. Men can wear scarves! Men can wear purple! (And although you can't completely see) men can wear floral shirts! And still look dapper.

Below are runners-up Anja (so clean and fresh, love the bag!), Charlotte (I must be drawn to yellow), Sammy (check out his tumblr blog!) and Jude (classic and crisp).

What have we learned today? Black does Winter and cold not equal.

Plating Up @ Platter Cafe

You're in Newmarket and you don't want to sit in a foodcourt but you don't want to overspend... The answer is simple. Davis Crescent, home to the row of restaurants that offer everything from pizza to katsu chicken to big brekkies, all for $14 and under.

It was my first visit to Platter and the place was busy even on a casual Wednesday. As their name would suggest, they offer a huge range of meal options. Being a vegetarian I am used to settling on the one dish available to me but I was spoilt for choice here. I decided on the halloumi and spinach on mushroom bruschetta which was amazing! My friends also enjoyed two vegetarian dishes (yes we're all freaks!); the mushrooms eggs benedict and the vegetarian fritters, which they said were equally satisfying.

And I'll finish with this, you know good service when you're water glass is constantly topped up. That shit's important. I'll be back.

Thom Browne

Tea towels, table cloths and handkerchiefs unite! I think it's safe to say they plaid around with a lot of different prints. With inspiration from the sea, there's cute little whales and lobster. So much order yet so much fun.

Just remember - do not try to recreate these looks at home without the assistance of a fashionista friend.
