High necklines and collar statements have become a fash fave in the last few months. Every second person I walk passed is wearing a button-up shirt with a short necklace sitting tightly under the collar. I think it's only a natural progression for this to soon expand to something a little more dramatic. (Turtle necks! and) Ruffs!
I was really inspired by the way 10 Men magazine incorporated this piece into their editorial "The Suburbs". The leather jacket and bad ass Docs contrast so nicely with the lace. The socks are awesome too!

A horrifying thought for the girls maybe but it's not nearly as bad as seeing a product all used up. I can live without the bronzers and the blushers and the bright blue lipstick, but I need this mineral powder. It's the perfect once-over for special occasions.

From start to finish, it's the same sort of mucking about as seen in the last video "Settle Down", but you know what? Gwen's hotter and the song's better. The black and white takes me back to the "Hella Good" days. So I'm gonna keep on dancin'!
Birthday wishlist item #3: Cologne
Nothing worse than running on purely deodorant. That and hair product are the only signature scent I have going on at the moment. It's been like this since I ran out of Hugo Boss Bottled Night a few months ago. I feel like I'm in a tacky Lynx ad - sans the Lynx, because I'm a Rexona boy and there is no bloody Lynx effect!
That reminds me of a funny story. When I got my first ever fragrance, my boyfriend at the time asked to use some. Why you would want to smell like your boyfriend I'm not sure, but I obliged. He took the bottle and aggressively sprayed a couple of times under each arm pit. My face was like :|

Prada have just released the lookbook for their Fall/Winter season, featuring models wearing their most stand out designs. Trippy, future vibes!
Graphically speaking, everyone seems to be obsessed with this other-worldly, cut-and-paste imagery. Off the top of my head I can think of recent campaigns by Roberto Piqueras and BCALLA. I guess with the success of instagram and it's awful low-res pictures, it's almost like this is the design community's way of paying tribute to the trend by creating images with less reality and obvious photoshopping.

Traditional Asian dress meets the paintings of a four year old girl? Too cute! The childish manner in which the flowers have been printed and scattered is a fresh twist on the floral trend.
Also, finally, a collection with a range of footwear that I'm head over heels in love with! Platforms that look like cakes. I want to devour each and every flower. At first glance you won't have noticed but those "socks" are not only part of the shoe but they're also toe socks (for the big toe anyway)! They freak me out a little...

Okay that's a slight over-exaggeration. Let's just give the girl a chance - I mean, it is normally the seventh album that is the best! Her competitors have even given her a head start in the race to claim the next number one hit. Nicki lent her a pink wig, Ke$ha handed over her unwashed fishnets and from Britney, she got her post-baby bod.
My advice to Christina is to go find Lil Kim and maybe they'll be able to help rebuild each others music careers.

This season focuses on creating an elliptical silhouette, featuring a lot of cropped jackets and rounded capes.
The crinkles in this metallic range remind me of cheap wrapping paper. The stubborn kind that doesn't want to follow the blade of your scissors. Ugh. That squealing sound it makes when you screw it up into a ball. But with all this said, I do like the look of it. I also like the look of this orange raincoat cape.

What I (dreamt I) wore today
Today's look is grocery shop chic (apologies for the mild tongue twister there)! Isn't interesting how a visit to the supermarket can serve as more of a social gathering than a Saturday night out? All you want to wear are your pyjamas but you never know who you might bump into. I think it's safe to say we all put a little bit of effort into how we look before popping down to Countdown to collect our stamps.
This look is 'jamy comfy but gives you a reason to treat the aisle as your runway. I call it Can I Pay Two Dollars Fifty In Cash And The Rest On Eftpos?

When most people leave their counterparts at home for the day, they normally return to find the entire internet history deleted or a curious amount of pop ups filling the screen.
This is what I found left open. Should I be worried? I can do a hella sexy robot on the D-flo but my ro-bot-ic voice needs a little work.

I've come to realise that all dance videos have long introductions before there's any real dancing to be seen. Most times it's really a waste of 20 seconds but in this case, it's cleverly executed to build suspense. It also allows me to really "feel" the song. How Mai-FM-88.6-presenter do I sound right now? I'm really feeling that song, man!
Parris makes sitting on a couch look cool, oddly enough for the whole first two and a half minutes, but it's when she's joined by the other girls (hi my sexy Bianca, Colettey and Malaena!) that the video takes a turn for the sexy.
The only downfall of the whole thing is the horrible font selection, if that even counts. Comic Sans is worse than a pair of crocs at Fashion Week (it happened!). Still using Microsoft Windows '96?
