Top 5 NZFW Trends, as said by FashioNZ

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't these all on trend now? If they were right, I'd be worried for our designers! Check out their page and see if you agree.

1. Floral print
I think it's safe to say every flower on the planet has a dress with it's face on it. More than this, it's about having an all over, head-to-toe print. Zambesi's range would suggest this could be checkers.

2. Structured jackets
Well that's not very specific is it? The basic form of jackets has been structured ever since the emphasis of shoulders came back in when Lady Gaga burst onto the scene.

3. Collars
If, for every day of her show, Erin Simpson has a new collar necklace on, you know that trend has come and gone. Collared shirts, buttoned to the top, with a statement necklace - even the Cotton On staff have cottoned on to the trend.

4. Lace
Oh lord.

5. Mid-length hemlines
This is the only one I agree with but some clarification is in order. I prefer a high-waist, tight to the leg type style but realistically it's all about something light that just falls and catches the wind. Maxi skirts taken up.

Look a little deeper and you'll find discrete trends about to blossom on the fashion scene. Yellow, netting, high necklines, print on print, contrasting fabrics.
